A new site makes it easier for men to meet foreign women. We girls are getting the short end of the stick again!
I’m peeved. I launched this site in order to help women recognize that their perfect man may not be in their city or even state, but that he does exist somewhere in the world. However, I’ve been one-upped by a site that actually helps men to meet women in other countries. It’s not fair, I tell you. Where in the hell is our site?
ForeignSingleWomen.com sounds like an international escort service, sure, but it still serves its purpose. It professes to “provide men access to the most beautiful foreign women in the world by offering both a high-quality experience and access to thousands of up-to-date profiles, photos, and videos.” There are currently 15,000 users.
A PR release promoting the site is a completely insulting piece of garbage. “The net result of all this is that it is very likely to find better looking women, who are much younger, and in better physical condition than western women, and better educated, who aren’t after money – a completely foreign concept for U.S. dating sites,” it reads.
One, whoever wrote that release is a dick. Two, you think American women don’t feel the exact same way? Why do you think so many of us swoon over an Englishman? We like the thought of an intelligent, cultured man whose accent suggests he may take us to a museum or the opera on a date instead of to a ball game or a bar.
I’m not trying to hate on American men right now (though I could do without backwards baseball caps, thanks); I’m just indignant. After all, we’ve all been grouped together and wrongly slandered — while getting the short end of the stick, I might add. We ladies need an outlet, too. We need SingleForeignMen.com.
If the international men of mystery we love will have us now, that is, given that we American women are collectively old, uneducated, chubby, gold-diggers, that is.
